Exclamation Things to consider for future GW

Things I would like to see implemented in GW.
I would like to see the game be a little more robust. By robust, I mean things like a behind the sceens economic structure whereby the NPC's have inventories that they keep, and these inventories must be supplied. If the supply does not meet the demand, then the NPC runs out of that item until his supplyer can make more of the items he needs. This could also be incorporated into the PC's role in the game, by becoming a supplyer for the NPC or the supplyer as well.
I would also like to see attributes raised not just by attaining the next level, but also by the things that you physically do in the game. Examples: Fighting and killing creatures should raise some of the attributes to a certain degree. Casting spells and using skills should also raise some attributes as well. After all, in the real world, the more you do something, the better you become at it. Perhaps there could be more attributes than just those that are currently in the game.
I would also like to see rewards for those who actually role-play the game. Worship of the appropriate God at the appropriate times, at the minimum, should be part of this. Why have the Gods at all if they are going to play a minimal role in the game. At the very minimum, there should be a title for playing your character exactly the way he/she is built. Even better, there should be a temporary boost of either an attribute or a spell/skill that the player uses. Even better, both of these options should be considered. "Balthazar Be Praised!"
I would also like to see the environment itself be affected by the actions of the characters. Yes, it is a beautiful environment to play in, but it is also a static, unchanging environment. Perpetual night or day no matter what time of day you are playing is not too realistic. In-game time passes just like actual realworld time, but if you are playing at 2 in the morning, it is daylight in most of the explorable areas. Also, I cannot imagine an Elementalist casting a fireball and the ground not getting scorched or a tree catching on fire. (Bonus note: the fireball sideaffects could even be implemented as damaging toward creatures or characters as well. This would throw a new twist to the game.

Just a wish list....

The current trader NPC's do run out of stock. However this only happens after really major demand spikes.

While that could work, it would mean more grinding if you wanted to change your current build. So probably a bad idea.

People not interested in roleplaying would just go through the motions needed to get the benefit, without any of the actual roleplaying your trying to encourage.

Thats a problem with instances, though I think ANET is working on changing that with GW2

Again, a problem with the instanced nature of guild wars. Though ANET would have to think about how long the day/night cycle would be so that everyone can experience all times, without the cycle being too short.

Ok, this would probably require more server resources to handle, as well as being more complex to program. But its a good idea.

bilateral rope summed it up. Though the attribute by use could be done with a cap, and one that fills rather quickly at that. Even then though I dont see much use of it in a game where you can change your build to something completely different on the fly.
